Sport Fishing in Costa Rica
Polarized sunglasses (brown tinted lens recommended)
Saltwater style wading boots (with synthetic or neoprene socks as needed)
Brimmed hat or cap
Swimsuit/ shirt/ shorts/ pants (with a pocket large enough to carry a fly box)
Sunscreen
"Well Prepared" (optimum requirements for several days of fishing)

Fanny pack or chest pack for carrying gear while fishing (with pocket or space for a water bottle)
Quick drying fishing style shirts (long-sleeve recommended)
Quick drying shorts and pants (or pants with zip-off legs)
Store the following in a roomy tackle bag (carry in fanny pack as needed):
9', 8 to 16 lb. Saltwater style tapered leaders (a few in each size); shock tippet/ wire leaders as needed
1 spool each of saltwater style tippets, 8 to 16 lb. (regular mono and fluorocarbon); heavy mono/ wire as
needed for bite tippets
Knot tying kit (needle knot tool, nail knot tool, etc.)
Rain jacket and pants
Sunglass cleaning kit
Stripping basket
First aid kit
Insect repellant and lip balm
Binoculars
Stringer and fish cleaning kit (if you care to keep fish)
"Ready for Anything" (maximum requirements for extending fishing or travel)
